Lux came out as trans in February of 2021 on the cover of Chilean magazine Revista Ya. She’s an actor in Spanish-language shows and now is studying at Julliard.
When she came out, Pedro was extremely supportive. He shared her magazine cover on his Instagram with the caption "Mi hermana, mi corazon, nuestra Lux," which translates to "my sister, my heart, our Lux."
At the time, Lux said that her brother had been a blessing in her life and “an important part of [the journey]” and that “he was one of the first people to gift me the tools that started shaping my identity.”
Pedro later told Esquire that he’s always been fiercely protective of Lux, who is 17 years younger than him.
“She is and has always been one of the most powerful people and personalities I’ve ever known. My protective side is lethal, but I need her more than she needs me,” he said.
