Rumors are once again swirling about Pedro Pascal’s sexuality, this time for soaking up some sun on a luxury yacht with a hot male model.
At the end of July, Pascal was spotted on a yacht in Spain, where he was photographed shirtless with model Christian Hogue. The photos went viral, and the internet immediately dubbed him “Pedro’s boyfriend” and “Pedro’s escort.”
The 51-year-old Strange Way of Life star may have taken over your timeline because of the photos of him laughing with Hogue while both men were dripping wet and shirtless, but other celebs like Jason Bateman, Jennifer Aniston, and Courtney Cox were also on board.
In an attempt to shut down the rumors, Hogue spoke out on Instagram earlier in the week, denying claims that he’s gay or an escort.
According to The Tab, Hogue set the record straight in the comment section of an Instagram post that connected him to Pascal.
“I really don’t need to explain myself here but I am going to,” he wrote. “Many of you are spinning this into something it’s not and it’s just sad. I am not gay nor am I for hire. I have been welcomed to this boat as a friend for many years. So it’s a damn shame to see how quickly everyone jumps to this conclusion, when it couldn’t be farther from the truth.”
This isn’t the first time rumors about Pascal's sexuality have taken over social media. In February, Pascal was linked to Luke Evans’ former boyfriend Rafael Olarra after paparazzi photos of the pair walking arm in arm in New York City went viral, sparking rumors of a budding romance.
Pascal is a fierce LGBTQ+ ally, in part because of his love for his sister, trans actress Lux Pascal, but has never confirmed his sexual identity publicly, only calling sexuality “a spectrum” in a 2017 interview.
Pascal’s sexuality has been a hot topic since he catapulted to fame playing bisexual king Oberyn Martell in Game of Thrones, but he’s remained tight-lipped about his dating life and has never responded to rumors that he’s gay.
