Detox Meeting Linda Evangelista Was As Iconic As You'd Think
The RuPaul’s Drag Race superstar paid tribute to the supermodel by wearing an outfit from Thierry Mugler.

On Wednesday, September 27, RuPaul’s Drag Race season five and All Stars 2 superstar Detox shared a new post attending an event for the new book Linda Evangelista Photographed by Steven Meisel. During the book signing portion, Detox had the opportunity to meet Linda Evangelista herself. Icons only!
On social media, Detox revealed that she attended the event paying tribute to Evangelista. She wore an outfit by Thierry Mugler and hair by Too Funky. Detox wrote in an Instagram post:
“Last night I got to meet one of my lifelong idols Linda Evangelista at her conversation with the legendary Fern Mallis. She was enigmatic, lovely, engaging, decadent, radiant, inspiring, and as hypnotically captivating as ever. An icon. A vision.”
“Thank you, Linda! For everything!!!” Detox wrote in the caption.
Besides the main picture of Detox attending the event, the Instagram carousel also included a shot of Evangelista being interviewed by Mallis, a video of Detox getting her book signed by Evangelista and shaking her hand, a few selfies, and a video of Detox hitting up a bar while still living her full Evangelista fantasy.
Needless to say, this was definitely a dream-come-true kind of day for Detox, and we’re so happy for her. There’s nothing quite like meeting your idol while paying tribute to them.
