It's hard for fans of an entertainer to hear that the person is taking a "hiatus," and Jonathan Bailey stans were hit with an announcement earlier this week that the Jurassic World Rebirth and Wicked star is taking a step back from acting.

Bailey recently discussed his nonprofit, the Shameless Fund — which supports LGBTQ+ people around the world — in an interview with GQ UK. During the conversation, he mentioned pouring a lot of himself into the organization and shared that, after the promotional tour for Wicked: For Good, he plans to take a break.
"I've been working solidly for about three years now, which has been amazing and mind-blowing," the actor explained. "But with everything happening in the world right now, I'm going to stop acting for a bit next year and just focus on the Shameless Fund."
Bailey added that his primary focus over the next few months will be staffing and "making sure [he] gets all the right people in all the right places."
Bailey went on to talk about the lack of charitable organizations for LGBTQ+ people in the U.K. and shared that he felt he could make a tangible impact. "You really have to dig to find solutions, and I genuinely think The Shameless Fund is exactly that," he said. "That’s why this collaboration with Cubitts has been so amazing. Not only is it fun and creative, it can also make a real difference.”
One of Bailey's latest collaborations, a fundraiser titled "Slutty Little Glasses," referenced the internet's obsession with his slim spectacles worn on Jurassic World Rebirth.
