We love just about everything Jamie Lee Curtis does, and now, that includes where she decided to place her Oscar.
Curtis won her first career Academy Award recently for her role as tax auditor Dierdre Beaubeirdre in Everything Everywhere All at Once, and since then, has been having a great time with the trophy.
Curtis won both the Oscar and a Screen Actors Guild Award for the role, but fans of Everything Everywhere All at Once will also remember that she won another award: Auditor of the Month.
The trophy, sitting in on her desk, was hilariously butt plug shaped, and even more hilariously, is actually used in the movie in a way that actually advances the plot.
Now, the actress has her Oscar, SAG Award, and Auditor of the Month Butt Plug Award all lined up next to each other.
“OK I'LL STOP! The TOTALLY unexpected EVERYTHING TRIFECTA of 2023!” she wrote on an Instagram post showing the three trophies.
Curtis had previously told Hoda Kotb and Savannah Guthrie on Today that she’s decided her Oscar uses they/them pronouns, in honor of her trans daughter Ruby.
When Guthrie asked if Curtis had “named her,” referring to the trophy, Curtis replied that her trophy doesn’t use she/her pronouns.
“I’m having them be a they/them. I’m going to just call them them,” she said about the award. “They/them and they are doing great, they're settling in, and I just, in my life, I never saw it in a million years that I’d have this couple days. And I’m very moved by the whole thing.”
