Hudson Williams is no stranger to looking like a snack on the red carpet, and his fashion statement at the Met Gala is no different.
Before even getting to his daring outfit, Williams took a risk by teaming up with his groomer Aika Flores on his hair and the ostentatious dark eye makeup (inspired by Black Swan) he decided to rock.
After his meteoric rise to fame in the wake of Heated Rivalry’s massive success, Williams made everyone swoon when he wore a custom Balenciaga tuxedo and Bulgari jewelry to the Academy Awards. As stunning as that suit was, it was a safe choice compared to what he’s rocking at the 2026 Met Gala.
This year’s theme is “Costume Art” with the dress code being “Fashion is Art” and Williams delivered. He wore a light blue, short waisted suit covered with black glittery tassels and embellishments that looked matador inspired. And what was he wearing under the jacket, you might be asking? Nothing at all.
Williams is not new to the world of fashion. Earlier in the night he made waves when he was spotted coming out of his hotel in just a bathrobe, while giving fans a sneak peek at the fun makeup look he had in store.
The star frequently makes interesting choices when it comes to his looks. Not only has he looked dashing and sexy in the endless photo shoots he’s done since starring in the hit gay hockey show, but he also walked the runway at Milan Fashion Week for Dsquared2 and rocked a see-through blouse with long train to the Vanity Fair Oscars Party.
Director Jacob Tierney clearly knew what he was doing when he cast Williams and co-star Connor Storrie in Heated Rivalry. Not only do the two men have insane chemistry on screen, but they also know how to dress like modern Hollywood stars.
In an interview with Harper’s Bazaar, Williams said he works with his stylist to make interesting fashion choices inspired by other celebs.
"Usually, it's reference-based," he said. "I have a wide palette of different celebrities I like. We say like, 'Maybe here I could do a Tyler, The Creator thing. Maybe we could work towards that. Maybe here we do like a Jacob Elordi thing, or John F. Kennedy Jr., or Princess Diana.' We got, like, Zoe Kravitz. There's just a lot of pulls that I like."
