HR’s François Arnaud mocks Clavicular’s runway walk: ‘Charisma of drywall’

A biting comment by the Heated Rivalry actor has some fans giggling, while others wonder why he'd even bother trying to mog the “looksmaxxing” influencer.

Just a week after Clavicular made his debut as a runway model at Paris Fashion Week, Heated Rivalry star François Arnaud decided he had something to say about the self-proclaimed "looksmaxxing" influencer.

And, without much effort, that comment the actor posted on his social media — first reported by BuzzingPop — has blown up the internet.

Over the weekend, Arnaud commented on a post about Clav's walk, describing it as: “When you hit your head too hard with the hammer and you’ve gotten rotten ideas but also the charisma of drywall.”

Ouch. Or, yay, depending on your point of view. Some cheered, others asked, 'Why bother?' However, the vast majority seemed uninterested in why the 40-year-old Arnaud would post — and then delete — a comment about the 20-year-old quasi-celebrity.

It's not as if Clavicular wasn't already getting roasted for walking for the 424 Spring/Summer collection. For example, one non-fan commented approvingly on Buzzing Pop's post on X, with a video of a one fingered salute: "He clocked him, bro has charisma of a bamboo stick." Another hailed Arnaud for calling the model an "incel" who "cannot stand being laughed at." And among the posts celebrating the actor as a "king," there was this: "Honestly refreshing seeing a white queer that isn't thirsting after a neo nazi with 'ironic' jokes."

Other HR fans couldn't hide their glee that Arnaud totally mogged the model.

For the one or two unfamiliar, Clavicular, whose real name is Braden Peters, somehow slid from a dark corner of the internet into the mainstream by promoting “looksmaxxing,” a loosely defined subculture focused on improving physical appearance through methods ranging from fitness and grooming to more extreme interventions. His content has included so-called “hardmaxxing” techniques such as “bone smashing,” a pseudoscientific practice that involves repeatedly striking the face to try to alter its shape, as well as the use of anabolic steroids and other substances to change his body.

And speaking of drugs, that was just one headline among many in several months of controversies. They include this past April's drug overdose that put him in a hospital, as Out reported, a criminal case involving a dead alligator that was ruled on by a hunky judge, another one in which he claimed self-defense for running over a man during a livestream, and that time he reportedly injected his then-underage girlfriend with aesthetic enhancements.

As Film Shrine at thetab.com noted, the influencer would likely be the first to admit he lacks charisma, something seen throughout his streams from the French capital. Check out the one in which he is shown trying and failing to talk to multiple young women, who all ignore him, even when he tries to flatter them and ply them with roses. It's sad, really.

Clavicular has said he began injecting testosterone as a teenager and has described using drugs as part of a broader regimen aimed at achieving what he calls an “ideal physique.” His livestreams have circulated widely, including encounters with transgender women. In one exchange previously reported by The Advocate, trans women challenged his understanding of looksmaxxing and said some of the practices he promotes have long existed within trans communities.
