Cara Delevingne's most chaotic date was a lesbian sex party: 'That was bad'

"Everyone was wearing, like, kitten heels. I don't know how to describe it. It wasn't good," the British supermodel, actress and musician revealed in a new interview.

As one of the world's most sought-after supermodels, whose career also includes acting and music, Cara Delevingne is no stranger to soirees and other invitation-only events in her dual hometowns of Los Angeles and New York City.

But there was one party that she recalls as the most chaotic date ever. "I went to a lesbian sex party once that was bad," she revealed during an appearance on Cosmopolitan magazine's "Blind Date" interview series.

Delevingne, 34, talked about her past romances, dating the woman who was her boarding school classmate and the connection between her sobriety and her love life. She's been in a relationship and living clean and sober for four years.

Without saying when or exactly where this lesbian sex party was held, or with whom she went on this terrible date, Delevingne spilled the tea on what made it so terribly memorable.

"I left quickly; nothing happened," she said, warning viewers to not do what she did: "Just be wary of sex parties, you never know, they can be bad!"

Cosmo Editor-in-Chief Willa Bennett asked her if she recalled what music was playing. Delevingne said she "blacked out" and had no idea, but made a guess: "Maybe like Flo Rida? It was bad."

The setting was not at all what she had expected, she said. "It was, like, in a gymnasium and the lights were really bright. I went in a mask and, like, we were all attached to each other,' the out lesbian "Not Normal" singer said. "I went in a mask and, like, we were all attached to each other. And it wasn't that. It wasn't that at all. Everyone was wearing, like, kitten heels. I don't know how to describe it. It wasn't good."

Earlier in the interview, Delevingne discussed her four-year relationship with British musician Leah Mason, who performs under the name Minke and was profiled by Elle earlier this year. Giving up alcohol, she said, changed the way she approached romance.

"There's nothing to hide behind," she said, describing feeling more exposed in her relationship because she could no longer use drinking as an emotional shield. "They see everything."

Delevingne confessed before going sober she had "sworn off love forever," saying, "'I'm done. I'm never being in another relationship.'" That all changed after reconnecting with Minke, who attended the same boarding school she did 20 years ago. They reconnected at a party in early 2022, Elle reported.

"My body felt very safe with her and I can't really describe why," added Delevingne.

Speaking of exposing her body, in July she became the first out lesbian on the cover of Playboy, as Them reported. She also made headlines earlier this summer when she confirmed she was involved in a long romance with bisexual actress Amber Heard. The iconic model revealed their liaison survived Heard's divorce from Johnny Depp, as Out reported in June.
