"I know that I definitely let some people down with that clip, and I don’t take that lightly, so I’m sorry for that.”

Rapper Big Dipper is responding to those who called him out after he said on his Sloppy Seconds podcast that he sometimes gives hookups the address to the aparment across the street from him so he can check them out and see if he's into them before he goes through with the hookup.

“So, the story I told on the podcast this week has offended a lot of people, and I just wanted to apologize for that story,” he began. “The behavior I’m describing in the story is cruel, is potentially dangerous, and the way in which I shared the story on the podcast was really cavalier and irresponsible. And I didn’t really understand that or see the severity of that until people’s reaction to the clip that is going around.”

Dipper apologized again, saying it's “a learning opportunity” and something that he won’t do again. “And I know that I definitely let some people down with that clip, and I don’t take that lightly, so I’m sorry for that.”

He then revealed that he and his Sloppy Seconds co-host Meatball will continue to talk about the issue on the podcast.

“We’re gonna unpack what has happened over the week. We’re gonna talk about my story and get into why it’s fucked up,” he said. “So if you want to hear a longer, more nuanced conversation about that, please tune into the podcast this Tuesday, and if not, I hope you accept my apology here.”

On an episode of the podcast last week, Dipper said “I sometimes give people my address, but not my apartment number, so I can look out the window.”

“What I actually do is give them the apartment number across the street, and then when I see them looking around, I’ll be like, ‘oh, I’m across the street in this unit,’ and then they’ll come over.”

Both Dipper’s co-host Meatball, and the podcast’s guest BenDelaCreme, were taken aback, and soon, fans on social media started calling the rapper out as well.

People on social media pointed out that doing that could put other people in danger, especially if they knock on the door of an unsuspecting person looking for a hookup.

It’s good to see that Big Dipper is taking accountability.
