Ben Affleck is finally opening up about that memorable shower scene in Gone Girl.

Over the years, many fans have wondered if Affleck’s full-frontal nudity scene was all him or if he had a little help from the special FX department, but until now, Affleck never talked about it.


In an in-depth interview with Variety, journalist Matt Donnelly admitted he “lost a bet at the office” and had to satisfy his colleagues’ curiosity by asking about the blink-and-you-miss-it scene.

The popular thriller may have come out 12 years ago, but fans are still dying to know whether Affleck's wore a prothesis was in the scene where, just for a second, he turns his naked body toward the camera as he walks into the shower he’s taking with Rosamund Pike’s character, giving audiences an eye full.

The Good Will Hunting actor wasn’t shy and revealed that when audiences saw pole, it was his body they were getting a peek at.

“I wore no prosthesis,” Affleck said, finally setting the record straight.

He then clarified, “I’ve only worn one in one film, Hollywoodland. It was a nose.”
