Almost a year after they got engaged and six months after they gagged us with their adorable engagement photos, Beanie Feldstein and Bonnie-Chance Roberts have officially tied the knot!
In an interview with Vogue, the couple discussed their relationship, from initially meeting on Skype before eventually meeting in person in 2018 when the two worked on How to Build a Girl and sparked their romance.
“From the moment we first kissed, we both knew we would get married and months after that, Bon had announced that when the time came, she wanted to be the one to propose to me,” said Feldstein before noting that the pandemic prevented them from seeing each other in person for 13 months.
To that note, Roberts added that, because of their time apart, she wanted to make the proposal extra special, saying it was “a celebration of the long roads we had taken to find each other and get to the moment of committing to marriage.”
The wedding, which took place on May 19 at the Cedar Lakes Estate in Hudson Valley, had only women vendors as part of the nuptials, including the wedding planner and the owner of Cedar Lakes.
During the planning of the wedding, Feldstein said she was in the middle of working with Gucci for the Gucci Love Parade campaign, which eventually led Gucci to ask her to pull inspiration from their past designs and design her dress.
On the other hand, Roberts knew that she wanted to wear a suit, but also one that looked like a bride instead of a groom. She worked alongside Gucci’s tailor to find the perfect fit and style, which Feldstein said brought tears to her eyes.
As to the ceremony itself, it was a picturesque setting under a canopy of trees and both brides wrote their intimate vows. Afterward, they snuck off for some more pictures during the cocktail hour before returning to their reception, where singer and friend Ben Platt sang their first dance song.
“It was such a special moment,” said Feldstein. “And then we truly danced the night away in the barn — and then even more at the after-party in the treehouse.”
