Will the TV host finally get what he wants?

Andy Cohen and Anderson Cooper have had some wild moments during their time co-hosting CNN’s New Year’s Eve special together.

Last year, the network opted to restrict alcohol consumption during the broadcast, a decision Cohen is less than pleased with.

“I haven’t heard anything yet, but come on, they need to let us drink,” Cohen told E! News during BravoCon in November. “It’s New Year’s Eve. That didn’t go well last year in terms of viewer happiness about us drinking. People really cared and I hope CNN gives the people what they want.”

And what they want, according to him, is for the network to “give the daddies some juice.”

The quip has become somewhat of a miniature viral sensation, complete with shirts and a slough of headlines with the quote.

Late-night host Stephen Colbert welcomed Cohen and Cooper on The Late Show to discuss this year’s special and brought up both the topic of drinking and also the headlines Cohen inadvertently created.

After Cohen told Colbert he’d have to tune in to see if he and Cooper drank on camera, he also admitted that sober Andy was “no less chaotic” than when he drank and still asked wildly inappropriate questions.

Among the comments Cohen made was telling Nick Cannon to get a vasectomy, which he defended by saying he was merely saying “what everyone else is thinking.”

Colbert pressed further and asked Cohen the boldest thing he’d ever asked, and he said he asked Oprah if she ever swam in the “lady pond” when she appeared on Watch What Happens Live and admitted she hasn’t been on the show since.

Cooper had his own experience with Cohen asking something inappropriate and shared a story about him asking Shaq how big he was.

“What I said is, ‘Shaq, your shoe size is 23, how big is your dick?’” Cohen defended.

Cooper then said Shaq’s answer was to remove his shoe and use it as a reference by placing it where his dick is.

Tune in on Sunday night to see whether Cohen and Cooper drink or not during New Year’s Eve Live and whether sober Andy will either behave or finally get what he wants.
