Sarah Paulson Reveals Her Favorite (& Least Favorite) Wigs She's Ever Worn
Which wigs from her filmography does Sarah Paulson love the most?
Sarah Paulson is known for many things in her storied acting career. Her comedic timing, her evocative emotions, her complete commitment to every role, and she's also known for all the amazing wigs she wears when she channels a character.
Wig acting isn't as easy as it looks, and it takes a real master to pull it off, and few know that better than Paulson. Thankfully, Evan Ross Katz of the Shut Up Evan podcast talked with her (about other things as well) to get the scoop on all her wigs, including which one in her career is her favorite.

Linda Tripp in 'Impeachment: American Crime Story'
"The Linda wig is up there," Paulson said. "Because the Linda wig, once I decided which mannerisms of Linda's to use, Linda was a wildly avid blinker, she blinked so much, and I thought if I did that, that might be really tiresome really quickly...and over a ten-hour period might be a little much. And she did this thing with her hair all the time, you know, she was always tossing it back. So the wig for me was paramount that it be right."
'Bird Box' and 'Run'
Paulson dropped the name of one hair and wig stylist she loves working with, Michelle Ceglia, who has done her wigs for multiple projects including American Horror Story. Paulson calls the wig Ceglia worked on for her character in Run a "great great wig on me," and said it "was actually my Bird Box wig. She did Bird Box, we took my Bird Box wig, brought it over to Run, used it there. It was great."
Nurse Ratched in 'Ratched'
As for her least favorite, Paulson has an answer for that too. "The Ratched wig was not my favorite wig," she said. "The hairline was not my favorite. It was too straight on the side. It was not my choice, who made that wig, and it didn't have any of this detail like, 'Hi, it goes in here.' Every time I saw it I'd get mad, but there was nothing I could do with it. It had a little more hair in it than I'd like."
