Sam Smith can get up to some pretty "Unholy" things with the new gift they got from Ed Sheeran!
When Smith was visiting The Kelly Clarkson Show on Tuesday, they revealed that they've recently received a rather large gift from fellow singer Ed Sheeran - a giant penis statue.
"It's actually wild. I thought it was a joke, but it's a 6-foot-2 marble penis," they laughed. "It's two tons, and I'm gonna have to get it craned into my house."
When Clarkson asked where they'd keep the statue, Smith joked that they want to turn it into a water fountain.
Clarkson had jokes of her own, saying that "Duke of Hastings" might be a good nickname for the statue, referencing the Bridgerton character played by Rege-Jean Page. "It sounds grand and 6-foot-2," she said.
Apparently, this isn't the first time Sheeran has gifted a musician friend a giant penis. In 2021, Elton John revealed that he was also gifted a six-foot tall penis statue from Sheeran for his 74th birthday. (Sounds like Sheeran is a bit of a size queen!)
"I suggested to David (his husband) that I should put it in the garden. And he said, 'No, we have children.'" According to John, the statue is now "hidden in an area in the house where they wouldn't see it."
"But it's a beautifully made penis. What can I tell you?" John continued. "What do you buy the man who has everything? A huge marble penis!"
Smith's song with Kim Petras "Unholy" is currently the number two song on the Billboard Hot 100, only behind fellow queer singer Steve Lacy's "Bad Habit." The song debuted at number three on the chart last week. It's Petras' highest-ever charting single and Smith's highest since "Stay With Me." The song is also number one on the Global Chart.
