It's in the air ladies and gentlemen, it's in the air. All of your favorite celebrities are performing declarations of love. The latest: RuPaul Drag Race's Ross Mathews.

"Fiance you stay!" Mathews wrote to Twitter, doing a play on the now ubiquitous RuPaul phrase. "I am so proud to announce that after over a year together -- navigating a pandemic, quarantine, and opposite coasts -- the smartest, funniest and kindest man I've ever met said, 'Yes!'"

"Dr. Garcia, I love you," he continued. " A lifetime of adventure awaits." In the photo, the pair appear in matching Gucci loafers.

On Instagram, Ross tagged Garcia in an account that has only has one post that is six days old of what seems to be downtown New York City at night. The social media announcement was timed to an appearance on The Drew Barrymore Show.

The pair join the likes of Niecy Nash, Jonathan Van Ness, Adam Rippon, Jinkx Monsoon, Megan Rapinoe and Sue Bird, and more as celebrities who have taken their relationships to the next level during the pandemic. Mathews told Barrymore on air that the pair met just before the pandemic and had to do dates over Zoom once lock down set in.

"About a year ago, I met somebody who just changed my life totally," he explained. "His name is Doctor Wellington Garcia and he's an educator, and he's hilarious, and he's the smartest person I ever met. You know, Beyonce says 'if you like it then you should've put a ring on it.' Well, I did." Mathews went on to explain that he's so open about his life but hadn't publicly spoken about the relationship prior but was ecstatic to do so now.
