Halloween is in the air, whether I like it or not. As is common, that means we've got to stomach social media feeds chock full of janky, uninspired costumes passed off as jokes and social commentary. Luckily, we've got celebrities and other notables who've got the money to really go all out with the fantastical and surreal dressing up.
Beyond that, it's said that Halloween is "Gay Christmas," a chance for LGBTQ+ people to live out their wildest fantasies -- well, maybe not their wildest -- under the guise of the trick-or-treat celebration. It's a night, or a week, where makeup, wigs, and being half-naked is not only not frowned upon, but expected. This means, Halloween serves as the birthplace of many a drag queen, and allows some of the tamer among us to let out their inner Instathot.
Below are some of our favorites from the first Halloween weekend of 2019 -- as the holiday falls mid-week, we fully expect that, like Coachella, this is going to be a double-header.
