Happy Monday Out readers!
The 2024 Paris summer Olympics have now officially come to a close.
It was a great Olympics this year, with plenty of LGBTQ+ athletes winning medals and becoming stars. But it was one cisgender and heterosexual athlete that really won our hearts: boxer Imane Khelif.
Khelif, a boxer from Algeria who was competing in her second Olympics, became the target of a transphobic hate campaign online after the Russian-led IBA (Internatinal Boxing Association), a sporting organizaion that was banned from the Olympics for curruption, said that she failed an unspecified gender eligibility test last year.
Soon, people like J.K. Rowling, Piers Morgan, Elon Musk, and TERFS across the internet were sending her waves of hate, calling her a man and a monster. Khelif is not transgender, has never identified as intersex, and there's no evidence that she is.
Khelif overcame the haters to win her first ever Olympic medal, the gold medal!
After winning her first medal, Khelif is turning her attention to the people who tried to make her life a living hell the last few weeks, and is filing an online harassment complaint.
"After the sporting time, comes the legal time. Having just won a gold medal at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, boxer Imane Khelif has decided to lead a new fight: that of justice, dignity, and honor," a statement from her lawyer reads. "Ms. Khelif contacted the firm which filed a complaint yesterday for acts of cyber harassment aggravated by the anti-online hatred center of the Paris Public Prosecutor's Office."
Godspeed to Khelif on this new venture. Go get those TERF assholes.
Now, onto the news.

Man Crush Monday
Okay, so this was almost a week ago, but our Man Crush Monday still goes to the Fellow Travelers' cast for showing off their Loewe "drink your milk" t-shirts, benefiting The Shameless Fund. We'd drink whatever they tell us to!
What We're Watching
Tonight, I (Mey Rude) am seeing a screening of Alien: Romulus, which comes out in theaters this Friday, so look out for a review for that movie coming soon!
