Welcome to another Out Newsletter!
This week had National Siblings Day on Wednesday, and so of course, we talked about the importance of having queer siblings, or even just supportive siblings.
Personally, I’m extremely thankful for my two siblings. My older sister works at a Catholic church and is one of the best allies I have in my life. We’ve gotten nothing but closer since I came out as a trans woman a decade ago.
My other sibling is younger than me, they are nonbinary and queer, and growing up and realizing I was queer with them by my side made everything a lot easier. They were the first person I told I was trans, and I’m thankful for them every day.
Whether they're queer or allies, having supportive siblings who love you for who you are and want to know the real you can really make all the difference in the world. I don't know where I'd be without my siblings, and I hope other queer poeple can say similar things.
Now, onto the news.
