Did you have to put the Anderson Cooper headline on the cover, let alone run the article? There was nothing in the article that indicated Mr. Cooper is doing anything against our community that would require an outing. Clearly, he has his reasons for not discussing the matter, so why not respect that? We all know that there is nothing wrong with being gay, but unfortunately not all people in power feel that way, and Mr. Cooper’s visibility could be reduced if someone doesn’t like the idea of him being out. Would that be to our benefit? And what’s with the double standard—you out Mr. Cooper but won’t out the scores of closeted actors in Hollywood one keeps hearing about?
