Though George Takei is a Bernie fan, he also recognizes that it's virtually impossible for the presidential hopeful to win the Democratic nomination. "But that doesn't mean Bernie didn't also win," says Takei. "He won in a myriad of vital ways--none more so than energizing the Democratic base in a way no one expected."

Takei hopes, like most of us, that Democrats can agree on one thing: Trump (or Cruz) cannot get into the White House. Takei gently reminds us that Sanders and Clinton agree on many important issues--expanding LGBT rights among one of them--and that Sanders himself said, "On her worst day, Hillary Clinton will be an infinitely better candidate and president than the Republican candidate on his best day."
