Finally, after years of frustration and disappointment, gay marriage is legal in NY. We're overjoyed for the hundreds of couples who were finally able to express their love -- and have it legally recognized -- yesterday and we're hoping that soon everyone who wants to be married in this country has the opportunity to do so no matter where they live.
With that in mind, we've created a brand new wedding guide on Out.com. Filled with tips from experts like celebrity wedding planner David Tutera and style guru Simon Doonan, ideas and resources to utilize when choosing your cake, flowers, rings, and honeymoon, the chance to announce and share your own wedding with other Out readers, and more, we've got everything you need to plan, celebrate, and showcase your big day. We'll also continue to add new content as the weeks go by, so if you have a tip for us (know a great caterer in Iowa City? Find the perfect venue in Boston?) send it to firstname.lastname@example.org.
In other wedding news, with all of the photos and videos from the first day of gay marriage in NY flooding the web today, we wanted to share this one from the BBC that we found particularly beautiful. Got a favorite story from the historic events that took place yesterday? Link us to it in the comments section below.
