Vegas' Biggest Gay Club Back from the Dead

Krave Massive may be gone, but Krave is returning to entice Vegas locals and tourists.

Krave Massive, the self-described biggest gay nightclub in the world, may have imploded, but the Krave name lives on in Vegas.

The club's Facebook page announced the LGBT club reopens November 1 at a venue formerly known as the TW Theater and the Empire Ballroom. The location is on the Strip, as opposed to Krave Massive occupying a downtown location for a short time. "Back on the Strip, Where We Belong," Krave's Facebook poster reads, adding the party is under new management.Krave under new management 10-22-13-thumb

Eater Las Vegas describes the new club as a 20,000 square foot venue, with an upstairs patio and a VIP lounge that overlooks the dancefloor. Krave Massive closed abruptly around Labor Day after only operating for two months. The owner of the club at the time, Kelly Murphy, had boasted Krave Massive would outdo super-clubs in Ibiza, with multiple rooms, live performances, and a movie theater. None of that could be realized because of endemic financial problems, including massive amounts owed to the city of Las Vegas and the state of Nevada.

It's reported that Sia Amiri bought Krave from Murphy; what's interesting is that Amiri once owned Krave when it operated out of the Miracle Mile shops on the Strip. It was hoped that investors looking to revive downtown Las Vegas would purchase Krave Massive and relaunch it in the downtown location. But that's looking less and less likely.
