Cara Delevingne has joined the second season of Hulu's Only Murders in the Building, spicing up the already great show.
Fans were excited to hear that Delevingne would be joining the show, and even more excited when it was announced she'd be playing star Selena Gomez's love interest. The two are good friends in real life, so we were excited to see them together on screen. For Delevingne, it was just as fun and exciting as we hoped.
"We never get to see each other as much because we're so busy," Delevingne said to E!'s While You Were Streaming about Gomez. "So to be able to spend that much time with her, and also to be able to work with her, she's just such an incredible person to work with whether I know her or not. She is brilliant, like one of my favorite actors I've ever worked with."
She also opened up about a kiss the two share in the second episode of the season.
"It was just fun," Delevingne said. "Would anyone in the world not like to kiss Selena? It was just hysterical. It's just one of those things, especially when you know someone so well, it's the comfortability and you kind of have fun with it."
She's also especially proud to be playing a queer role, as she's pansexual herself. "For me to be able to get to play a queer role meant so much to me, and [Selena] knew that," she said. "To represent that was really exciting."
While Delevingne had a lot of fun, some fans felt that it didn't seem like Gomez felt the same way. A clip of the two of them kissing in the show went viral on Twitter yesterday, and not for the "fun" the two women were having.
Fans called the kiss "awkward" and "uncomfortable," begging Gomez to look like she was enjoying herself, or at least open her mouth a little bit! One Twitter user said that "you can SEE the heterosexuality radiating off Selena" in the scene.
You can watch Only Murders in the Building now on Hulu.
