Heartstopper goes international!

It looks like Nick and Charlie are going continental!

Netflix's Heartstopper is in the middle of filming its second season, and in a newly leaked set-photo, it looks like Charlie and Nick (played by Joe Locke and Kit Connor respectively) will be having a romantic rendezvous in Paris!

In the image, it looks like Nick and Charlie are enjoying a summer vacation, as they sit outside at a cafe wearing shorts and t-shirts. There's also a third man at the table they seem to be talking to.

The second season of the show will continue to follow Nick and Charlie's relationship. Alice Oseman, the show's creator, also told Digital Spy some things she hopes to explore in the new season.

"[I] definitely want to be bringing in the themes of mental health, because that's something that's really important in the books," she said. "The challenge of writing Heartstopper is exploring those darker issues while keeping the tone so optimistic and hopeful. That has been, like, the struggle of writing it for me the whole way through."

Last month, the Heartstopper crew announced they were officially filming the new season when they released a cute video reading scripts and greeting fans. The video also gave us a first look at some of the new characters who will join for season 2.

While Nick and Charlie, and their friends Elle, Tao, Tara, Darcy, and Isaac will be back, they'll be joined by several newcomers to the show.

The new members include Leila Khan, who will play Sahar Zahid, a Higgs school student; Jack Barton, who will play David, Nick's older brother; Bradley Riches, who will play James McEwan, a Truham school student; and Nima Taleghani as Mr. Farouk, a Truham school teacher.

Season one of Heartstopper is currently streaming on Netflix, and the show has been renewed for seasons 2 and 3.
