The sixth season of RuPaul's Drag Race All Stars is nigh, and in anticipation of the event, Paramount+ (the show's new streaming home) just released the full official trailer that teases all the drama, celebrity guest judges, twists, turns, and excitement that fans have come to expect!
So here's everything we know about All Stars 6 so far!
One of the best parts about Drag Race is getting to see some of our favorite LGBTQ+ celebrities and allies come on the show and give us their two cents about the queens and the competition! Though a lot of the celebrity appearances during season 13 were limited to Zoom because of the pandemic, All Stars 6 is bringing Hollywood A-list back to the judges' table in real life! The lineup of guest judges this season includes Aisha Tyler, Big Freedia, Charli XCX, Emma Roberts, Jamal Sims, Justin Simien, Tia Mowry, Beyonce's mother Tina Knowles-Lawson, and fashion designer Zaldy. There's also going to be special appearances from Alec Mapa, Oscar-nominated screen legend Angela Bassett, Cheyenne Jackson, Fortune Feimster, Jermaine Fowler, Miss Piggy, and Tanya Tucker!
Series vets Michelle Visage, Carson Kressley, and Ross Matthews will return as regular judges every week alongside Mama Ru.
The All Star 6 competitors were announced just a few weeks ago, and if you couldn't tell from the promo pics, the queens this season are a FIERCE batch of competitors! Expect to see A'Keria C. Davenport (season 11), Eureka! (season 9, 10), Ginger Minj (season 7, All Stars 2), Jan (season 12), Jiggly Caliente (season 4), Pandora Boxx (season 2, All Stars 1), Ra'Jah O'Hara (season 11), Scarlet Envy (season 11), Serena ChaCha (season 5), Silky Nutmeg Ganache (season 11), Kylie Sonique Love (season 2), Trinity K. Bonet (season 6), and Yara Sofia (season 3, All Stars 1) all duking it out for a spot in the Hall of Fame!
Hon, would it be a proper season of All Stars if there wasn't some kind of unexpected twist!? In the teaser trailer, Ru mentions that this season's gameplay of AS6 will be a "game within a game," and while we're not really sure what the specifics are just yet, from the looks on the queens' (and guest judge Tia Mowry) faces, we can already tell it's going to be an interesting one that is going to make the competition for the crown (and a cash prize of $100,000) even more cutthroat than it already is!
All Stars found a new home on the brand new Paramount+ streaming service this year! The first two episodes of AS6 will premiere on Thursday, June 24, with new episodes streaming weekly! New episodes of Untucked will also be streaming on Paramount+ so that you can get a behind-the-scenes look at all of the backstage drama each week!
