If you wanted a gay James Bond, you may be in luck. Kind of.

Netflix has now ordered a new show called Q-Force, a half-hour adult animated comedy that centers around LGBTQ+ superheroes. Written by Gabe Liedman of Broad City and PEN15, the plot follows the members of the Q-Force proving themselves again and again in a variety of adventures. But of those heroes, it seems one may be a spy.

"A spy TV series is so tough, because they're so expensive," Milliner told Deadline. "We were thinking how do we get to do gay spy and every week, and the only way to do that is animated, because we can do all of the fun parts of a James Bond film. We can travel, we can have big chase sequences; animation is allowing us that freedom."

According to Deadline, some have speculated that Hayes will voice the role of the spy.

"I don't know that the studios would greenlight a feature with a leading character that's gay in that genre," Hayes said. "Hopefully they will, but that doesn't seem like right now." Until they do though, we'll have this 10-episode stop gap.

And while we are completely and totally happy for all involved, since Netflix is getting back to order shows ... can we re-think that One Day At A Time situation?
