The creators of RuPaul's Drag Race—World of Wonder productions, helmed by Randy Barbato and Fenton Bailey—have launched a new streaming service today titled WOW Presents Plus. The new platform, available on iOS, Apple TV, Roku, and Android, is $3.99 a month and boasts a whole slew of new original programming.
Among these new shows: La Vida De Valentina, a telenovela-style series where Valentina reflects on her childhood and life; Bobbin' Around With Bob the Drag Queen, which follows Bob and her assistant Luis in their travels around the world; and Detox's Life Rehab, which follows Detox as she works to better her life.
“For more than 20 years, World of Wonder has created programming and experiences that give a voice to the outsiders and the marginalized,” said Barbato and Bailey in a statement. “As the marginal moves into the mainstream, the time has come for us to curate a platform for our audience with content fans will devour, featuring stars that deserve to be on television round-the-clock.”
There's also original programming starring Jinkx Monsoon, "Leave Britney Alone!"'s Chris Crocker, and fashion designer Marco Marco and choreographer AB Soto. In addition to new series, the streaming service will have available documentaries like Becoming Chaz, Out of Iraq, and The Last Beekeeper.
“As early adopters in digital, World of Wonder’s primary goal was, and continues to be, to reach our audiences where they are,” the pair continued. “Our owned and operated digital platforms have earned millions of fans by creating disruptive content for a new tribe of viewers. WOW Presents Plus is the next step in our ongoing mission to offer fans a 360-degree experience across live events, linear and digital programming.”
