With the 100 year anniversary of Tom of Finland's birth, expect to see a lot of projects inspired by the artist cropping up this year. In March, the UK will host its first public exhibition solely dedicated to Tom's work at the House of Illustration. But in addition to the other projects, Men.com is releasing a series of porn films via monthly installments, inspired by Tom's work. Next up: one directed by Bruce LaBruce.

Debuting on Friday, the new film is titled Service Station and takes its inspiration directly from a series of comics drawn by Tom that feature his character Kake. The series is also titled Service Station and was 31 pages. They comprised the 12th issue of the Tom of Finland magazine. Another film of the series that hasn't been released yet was inspired by the Pleasure Park issue.

In the comic version of Service Station, a gentleman pulls up to a "Full Service" gas station, and an employee emerges in a jumpsuit, toting one of Tom's signature lude packages. The two play for a second as the gas is pumped, and then move inside of the gas station. The film will likely follow a similar trajectory.

For the work, LaBruce has cast a bit of an all-star line-up. DeAngelo Jackson, who recently became the first Black performer to win Best Actor at the GayVNs -- the Oscars of gay porn -- plays a key role. As does Matthew Camp. Camp notably appeared in the first film of the series as well.

The film also features Ricky Roman and River Wilson.

The Pleasure Park-inspired film created by Matt Lambert, will debut later this year. The series started with Tom's older work, via the 1957 film, and will move into the future. An earlier release said that the first three movies -- 1957, Service Station, and an unannounced project -- would be period pieces while the others will be more modern.

A line of merchandise also has been released.
