A love story decades in the making… you love to see it!
Gay couple Aaron Alexis and Kenny McCleary recently announced that they’ve gotten engaged. The proposal seemingly took place in Los Angeles around Dec. 2023. The joint post read:
“Here’s to forever [ring emoji] [heart emoji]. P.S. he said yes.”
While it’s been two months since the actual proposal, their story gained even more attention after the couple shared this update via X (formerly Twitter) — quote-resharing a previous X post that went viral back in Nov. 2022. Alexis wrote in the original X post:
“My boyfriend and I were at the same birthday party 25 years ago. (I’m on the pony to the left, and he’s on the pony to the right). It’s so crazy to think how lucky I am 25 years later.”
That X post was reshared with the caption, “Update, we’re engaged.” The post currently has over 8,000 likes and nearly 500,000 views.
