Chalamet is, as of today, an Oscar nominee for Best Actor for his role in Call Me By Your Name.

2018 has decided to remain as on-brand as possible so far: Timothee Chalamet just rapped to Cardi B's "Bartier Cardi" at the SAG awards red carpet. Take a look:

Chalamet is, as of today, an Oscar nominee for Best Actor for his role in Call Me By Your Name--the youngest since 1944. Meanwhile, Cardi B is officially a Grammy nominated artist and will perform this Sunday at the ceremony, taking place in New York City's Madison Square Garden.

Asked on the red carpet about his affection for Cardi and for Best Supporting Actress nom Mary J. Blige, Chalamet said, ""Well, they're both New Yorkers, they're both from the Bronx. I know Cardi B is from the Bronx, I'm pretty sure Mary J Blige is from the Bronx. My grandparents are from the Bronx, I lived in the Bronx," adding "The music is lit, I was listening to it on the way here."

The interview didn't end there--Chalamet then responded to the question of his favorite Cardi song, saying: "It's gotta be 'Bodak Yellow,' but 'Bartier Cardi' just came out which is fantastic." And that's when we were graced with his rap prowess, which once again turns out to be... not that bad.
