Madonna Dismisses New Biopic: 'Only I Can Tell My Story'

This morning, it was reported that Universal had picked up a script about Madonna's early career in 1980s New York. The screenplay, called Blond Ambition, was written by Elyse Hollander and will be produced by Michael De Luca (Fifty Shades of Grey). Despite the biopic sounding like a promising new project, Madonna has since revealed she was not involved, voicing her opinion on Instagram.

"Nobody knows what I know and what I have seen," Madonna wrote. "Only I can tell my story. Anyone else who tries is a charlatan and a fool. Looking for instant gratification without doing the work. This is a disease in our society."
Much like Madonna's famous use of the word, "reductive," to describe Lady Gaga, she's managed to slip in yet another adjective we've never encountered in our life as mere peasants.
