Rosie O’Donnell Says She Knew About Whitney Houston’s Same-Sex Relationship

One of the greatest and often recurring rumors surrounding the late great Whitney Houston is that of her bisexuality and the romantic relationship she shared with childhood friend and assistant Robyn Crawford. It's said that pressure from industry higher-ups kept Houston in the closet her entire life, but since her death new information, along with a biopic, has kept trickling forth.

On a recent episode of Watch What Happens Live, former The View host Rosie O'Donnell said she was aware of Houston's secret, and that Houston was in the closet along with other powerful women in the '90s. "I knew they [Whitney and Robyn] were together," O'Donnell told Andy Cohen. "I was friends with a lot of very athletic older lesbian women who were in the WNBA - all these basketball playing women. I knew that, I knew it for a very long time. Everyone sort of knew it."

O'Donnell went on to mention Clive Davis, saying it was "very surprising" that they never discussed Houston's sexuality. "I don't believe that for one minute," she said. Watch O'Donnell's appearance, below.
