The Sixth Season of Teen Wolf Will Be the Last

The Sixth Season of Teen Wolf Will Be the Last

A moment of silence for all the shirtless men that were, and could have been.

There was a sentimental haze that settled over the audience at this year's Teen Wolf panel at San Diego Comic Con. The crowd, usually one of the liveliest of the television panels, was quickly sobered when the show's creator, Jeff Davis, announced that the fan-favorite MTV series would be concluding with its sixth season.

"I know we're sad about it and it's bittersweet but we're so happy to be able to come to Comic-Con and share it with you guys," Davis said, according to EW. The show's stars, including Tyler Posey, Holland Roden, Dylan Sprayberry, Chody Christian, and Khylin Rhambo were at the panel to help ease fans into the idea of a world without Teen Wolf.

The first trailer for season six, which premieres on MTV in November and will be 20 episodes long, was also unveiled at the panel. The latest big bad will be ghost riders that literally erase people from reality, and it looks like Stiles (Dylan O'Brien) is one of their targets, along with the fandom's favorite "love to hate," Peter Hale (Ian Bohen).

No word on whether or not other fan favorites from past seasons will make an appearance during the show's final season, but with Jeff Davis claiming it will be a "great gift to the fans," there may a distant glimmer of hope for the return of Derek Hale (Tyler Hoechlin) and Jackson Whittemore (Colton Haynes).
