Yes, yes, yes.

Why, when the rest of the entertainment industry is moving along - glacially, in some places - with equality and inclusion, does a successful franchise like James Bond insist on remaining in the white male-centric stone age of cinema?

During a recent interview with E! News for her new film, Equals, the subject of James Bond came up with Kristen Stewart and costar Nicholas Hoult. "I think I'm a bit too young to be honest," said Hoult about his ever-present name on the shortlist of Bond successors. "He's like 30s or 40s."

"Yeah, but that's getting a little stale," said Stewart. After Hoult voiced his support for Idris Elba to inherit the 007 tux, the subject turned to the arguments against a black or female Bond. Stewart wants to pull a "bait and switch" with moviegoers, where the trailer and material leading up to the release of a Bond film paints it in the traditional, white, masculine light, but at release you find out that the girl is Bond and the man is his "Bond girl."
