Lady Gaga Denies Casting in Dionne Warwick Biopic

Earlier today, Dionne Warwick announced to the press at the Cannes Film Festival that Lady Gaga had been cast in her upcoming biopic, Dionne.

Warwick explained that Mother Monster would be starring as her "nemesis," Cilla Black, in the movie. Black reportedly stole songs from Warwick during the singer's illustrious career. Journalists were even shown a poster featuring Gaga's name, according to Variety.

A PR Rep for Gaga has since denied the casting, explaining, "Reports of Gaga starring in the project are false."

Confusion about the role should be cleared up soon, once Warwick's camp provides further comment.

Gaga's forthcoming album is due later this year.
