Two years after her critically-acclaimed studio album, Broke With Expensive Taste, Banks is back at it again with her new mixtape, SLAY-Z.
The title is a tribute to Jay Z (of course). This is Banks' third mixtape, following 1991 (release in 2012) and Fantasea (later in 2012). SLAY-Z sees Banks continuing her signature rapid-fire deepthroated verses, velvet melodies, and experimental beats. The mixtape also features a guest apperance from Rick Ross.

Never one to hold her tongue, in a deleted tweet the singer claimed to have released the album due to her sound engineer was "spitefully leaking" some of the mixtapes tracks. "YOU GUYS GET SLAY-Z NOWWWWWW YAAAAAAAY !!!!!"she added.
