#TBT: Michelle Visage’s Early ’90s Hip-Hop Career
It’s a lovely day to reminisce about S.O.U.L. S.Y.S.T.E.M.
Now that Rupaul's Drag Race is back in full swing, it means weekly visits from RuPaul, Santino Rice, and Michelle Visage.

But let's not forget that long before she was scolding drag queens for not blending their makeup, Visage was spitting sick lyrics in her early '90s hip-hop group, S.O.U.L. S.Y.S.T.E.M. Their upbeat remix of "Lovely Day" is a perfect track for a beautiful early spring day.
Take a trip back to 1992, back when an Ebony Fashion Fair talent scout had plucked RuPaul out of the Brewster Projects of Detroit Michigan. It was also when Visage was hanging around pools in sexy two-piece bathing suits with hot shirtless guys who were probably also Versace models.
