As we spend the remaining days of this election cycle learning more and more drivel about both Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump, at least we already know where they stand on the big issues, and in some cases, they've already started giving us bullet points for how they play to fix things. Unfortunately the same can't be said for the third party candidates, whose names are becoming increasingly more common the deeper Trump digs his hole and the more we find out about Clinton's past. Enter, as usual, John Oliver.
The Last Week Tonight host used this week's segment to educate his audience about who the big third-party candidates are in the 2016 election, and what their platforms look like, even if it's not totally apparent to the candidates themselves. Oliver covers the Libertarian nominee, Gary Johnson, from his ignorance of what Aleppo is to his floundering when journalists question the feasibility and specifics of his plans. And he also mentions Green Party frontrunner Jill Stein, who wants to admirably forgive all the student debt in the country, but doesn't seem to understand that her proposed plan is inherently flawed.
