Trans singer Nomi Ruiz dons black lingerie with Jessica 6 in the neon lit video for "Down Low." The single appears on the EP, The Capricorn, released Friday via Park Side Records.
Directed by Gabriel Magdaleno, the video references the 1998 film Gia. The choreography and styling are somewhat reminiscent of "The Cell Block Tango" with a seedy red light district vibe. It only complements the sensual rhythm of the track, which is "a meditation on shame's relationship to seduction through the eyes of the seductress."
If seduction was the goal, Nomi was the right woman for the job.
