Director David O. Russell can't get enough of Jennifer Lawrence and Bradley Cooper. He directed them together in Silver Linings Playbook, for which Lawrence won an Oscar, and in American Hustle.
Joy, his current project that brings the two actors back together, is "the story of a family across four generations and the woman who rises to become founder and matriarch of a powerful family business dynasty."
The trailer shows Lawrence's character, Joy, hop around in age between 10 and 40, loving life, working crumby jobs, getting married, getting arrested, loss, heartbreak, and experience almost every emotion a person can in 30 years.
