'I have sons who are warriors.'
Ricky Martin's new Spanish-language album, the hubristically titled A Quien Quiera Escuchar (To Whomever Wants to Listen), is set to drop Feb. 10, so he's gearing up for a media blitz. But the toughest job for the globetrotter -- who played 30 shows last year while also being a judge on The Voice of Australia and launching a clothing line collaboration with A Different Fur -- may be raising his twin 6-year-old sons alone.
He told Billboard in a recent interview that they can handle the crazy schedules and jetsetting lifestyle just fine. "[F]ortunately, I have sons who are warriors and who were born on tour and don't know anything else. They're road babies. Some people say, 'Ricky, your kids need stability,' and I say, 'I'm their stability. They feel unstable if I'm not there.' "
Despite being a responsible dad, we're glad the 43-year-old doesn't mind showing off his body on Instagram:
Martin also said that one of his sons wouldn't stop singing "Disparo al Corazon," the second single off the new album. "So maybe the boys influenced the choice of single."
