The Queen of Soul made everybody feel like a natural woman at the Kennedy Center Honors.
As a society, we tend to overuse the term "diva." Anyone with a hit record and an entourage is suddenly worthy of the title. And while I hate to contradict our lord and savior--Beyonce--a diva is not the female version of a hustler.
Aretha Franklin provided the Webster's definition of diva at the Kennedy Center Honors last night when she paid tribute to fellow legend Carole King with a stirring rendition of King's "Natural Woman."
With the drop of her fur, she reminded everyone, especially President Obama, who's actually in charge here.
