John Grant's third album, Grey Tickles, Black Pressure, is out now, and it's great. Turns out he's a big fan of Neko Case, who has a new box set of her recordings on vinyl, titled Truckdriver, Gladiator, Mule, out November 13.
The two musicians have never really met in person, but they are Twitter pals. In this NPR phone convo, they talk about their love of Bulgarian harmonies, the carnival ride The Zipper, and each other's music. Now, after this quirky conversation, could there be a "sparse, electronic, and harmony-heavy Eurythmics-eque collaborative album" to result?
