Young Miko

Joshua Rivera

Before Young Miko was headlining shows around the world and becoming the face of major campaigns, the Puerto Rican musician was working as a tattoo artist.

Now, the Grammy-nominated star has built a huge following with music that blends trap, reggaeton, and sharp Spanglish lyricism, collaborating with fellow icons like Bad Bunny and Karol G. In 2025, she released her sophomore album, Do Not Disturb; opened for Billie Eilish; and capped off the year with two sold-out shows at Puerto Rico’s famed Coliseo de Puerto Rico.

This year, Young Miko returned with the deluxe edition, Do Not Disturb: Late Checkout, and made history as the first openly queer Latina to front a Gap ad, helping the brand debut its first Spanish-language campaign. She’s now wrapping up her first arena tour, spanning 11 countries.

For all that’s changed, Miko is especially proud of what hasn’t: “Still feeling connected to who I am and being able to keep evolving without forgetting the parts of me that got me here.”

She admits that hasn’t come easy. “Learning to trust myself again, my craft, my heart, and direction was very challenging,” she says. “I didn’t have all the answers, but I kept showing up for myself and my people, and I’m so happy I did.” @itsyoungmiko
