Readers' Choice Award Nomination: Steve Grand

The 23-year-old singer-songwriter may have been barely known before his video for his self-released country-pop song, "All-American Boy," became a viral sensation this summer--as of this week, it's been viewed over 2 million times.

As Out reported, just five years ago, Grand was enduring "straight therapy" at the behest of his Catholic family, and now he's headlining a Point Foundation fundraiser, to raise money for scholarships for LGBTQ college students. It's a story of empowerment and Steve Grand has become an inspiration to many.
