After a very millennial courtship, Olympic speed skater Blake Skjellerup married his boyfriend, lifestyle blogger Saul Carrasco, a few weeks ago.
What started as an exchange over Instagram turned into dinner dates and strolls around New York City, and after less than a year together, the couple was engaged and planning a Hawaiian excursion for their wedding. The islands were a very convenient halfway point for both of their families, they told OUT in this year's Love Portfolio.
After competing in the 2010 Winter Olympics for New Zealand, Skjellerup failed to qualify for the controversial 2014 Games in Sochi.
