Aisle Say: Let the Edison Ballroom Serve as a Quintessential Backdrop for Your NYC Nuptials

Edison-ballroom-wedding

The Edison Ballroom is steeped in naughty history—much like your relationship, making it the perfect place to exchange your vows.

The Edison Ballroom opened in the 1930s and served as the main gathering place of the swinging Edison Hotel. In the 1970s, the space was home to "Oh! Calcutta!" the ribauld musical revue that ran for nearly 6,000 performances, and included plenty of nudity. Now, some 80 years since it first debuted and a $5 million restoration later, the Edison Ballroom would like to play host to your dream wedding. The space boasts room for up to 500 seated guests (for those really popular couples) in a breathtaking 17,000-square-foot event room that is still appointed with classic art deco details. This historic New York City landmark is an enviable locale to kick up your heels and tie the knot--regardless of whether your a native or visiting town in the name of love. Check out a video tour of the digs, below:

The Edison Ballroom is located at 240 West 47th Street, New York City, 212-201-7650, EdisonBallroom.com
