After helping gay, bi, and queer men with their spontaneous hookups since 2018, cruising app Sniffies is expanding into bigger and better things.
The platform that provides a live map to help you cruise wherever you are is partnering with Match Group, which owns dating apps like Tinder, OkCupid, and Hinge, to accelerate the company's growth and build more features queer men will love.
Today, Sniffies announced that Match Group made a $100M minority investment in the company and has become its new strategic partner.
“Sniffies was built by Cruisers and for Cruisers. It comes from lived experience and an intimate connection to the community we serve,” said Blake Gallagher, Founder and CEO of Sniffies.

The brand has grown to include not just the cruising app, but merchandise, live events, and original content, and now the company has plans to get even bigger without losing the special sauce that made it special to the queer community in the first place.
“Cruising has always been part of how people connect in the real world, but it was never really reflected in digital spaces,” Gallagher said. “Sniffies works because it reflects how connection actually happens: on your own terms, in your own space. That part of the Sniffies experience won’t change. This partnership gives us additional resources to scale that experience globally, without losing the foundational perspective and principles it was built on.”
With this new partnership, Sniffies plans to add new features on a faster timeline, expand into new global markets and communities, increase safety, and keep giving lovers of gay cruising everything they’ve come to love about the brand.
