Following last week's tragic news of Demi Lovato's drug overdose, the singer's friend and backup dancer, Dani Vitale, has released a statement following fan backlash that she was to "blame" for the incident. According to her statement, Vitale has been on the receiving end of negativity after news spread about Lovato.
"Like all of you, I have nothing but love in my heart for her," Vitale said. "There is no need for any negativity towards [sic] the ones who care about Demi at this time. There is too much of it in this world as it is."

Lovato is currently stable and expected to make a full recovery, according to People magazine's latest update.
