Alec Jansen and Ben Martella ordered the car service to take them from Butler University to Broad Ripple in Indiana, but after sharing a quick "peck on the lips," the driver told them to get out because he could not "have that in my car."
"He looked in his rearview mirror. He was yelling," Martella said. "I was really upset. It was a big reaction for such a small display of affection between two guys."
After the incident, Martella Tweeted:
\u201cWas just discriminated against by @lyft my ride kicked me out because I was kissing another man. He kicked us out and I still have to pay. Disappointed and feel unfairly judged by this service.\u201d— Ben Martella (@Ben Martella) 1525557617
Lyft did in fact refund their money and are now apparently handling the situation.
